Writing the College Application Essay
The college application essay is an opportunity to demonstrate your unique perspective on something meaningful to you. The successful college essay will do two things. First, it will give the reader insight about you that they cannot glean from the rest of your application. Second, the essay should demonstrate your critical thinking and writing skills, and also your awareness of yourself as an evolving individual.
What have you learned that will serve you or your community as you enter adulthood? What insight have you gained through circumstances in your life? What passions and curiosities fuel your enthusiasm for learning, and for your future?
